Lessons in Waiting
I think a reason why we hesitate to ask God certain questions is because we’re afraid of the answer…a “no” or even a “yes” can require hard things from us. It can ask us to change our lives in a way that’s so uncomfortable, so we question whether or not to ask.
I am currently in a season where I gave Him the freedom to speak into my life. I am reluctantly willing to hear His answer. LOL
Have you ever felt that way? It’s kind of conflicting. I desire to be obedient…I really do, but…
Through this season, He has been showing me that I need to put Him first…above ALL things. In order to be ALL IN with Jesus, I must choose Him…and ALL these things shall follow. Matthew 6:33
He hasn’t answered me yet, but through it all, He is teaching me to put Him first. To place no one and no wants before Him.
He is teaching me:
Trust- that the plans He has for me are good.
Contentment- to be content in all things. Uncertainty, pain and joy.
Surrender-whatever the outcome may be, whether a “yes” or a “no”.
He is polishing my character.
